This course is designed to provide a basic overview of programmable logic controllers. This course is designed especially for the individual who has had little exposure to PLCs. A good working knowledge of electrical controls is helpful but not necessary. Covered in the class are the fundamentals of PLC components, how they go together and what they do, numbering systems and addressing schemes, software instruction sets and basic troubleshooting techniques for PLC control systems. Each participant will receive a workbook as well as hands on labs with online and offline PLC systems.
